Our story

IMG_9290.JPG

The Sopranos are the University of Michigan's premier competitive treble a cappella group, founded in 2001. Our members come from many different backgrounds, but we are all united by our passion for music. The Sopranos are part of the Michigan A Cappella Council (MACC), along with 15 other groups on campus.

The Sopranos compete annually in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA). In 2019, we won 3rd Place at the ICCA Great Lakes Quarterfinal, and Best Arrangement for "Madness". Previously, we won Best Arrangement for our entire set in 2017.

Additionally, we record our own music! Our most recent recording, our self-titled EP, was released in 2021. You can find our music on Apple Music and Spotify, and performance videos on our YouTube channel!
